884 - ما يَنبَغي رِعايَتُهُ في نَفَقَةِ العِيالِ‏

884. THINGS TO BE CONSIDERED WHEN SPENDING ON ONE'S FAMILY

2817.رسولُ اللَّهِ صلى اللَّه عليه وآله : مَن دَخَلَ السُّوقَ فاشتَرى‏ تُحْفةً فَحَمَلَها إلى‏ عِيالِهِ كانَ كَحامِلِ صَدَقَةٍ إلى‏ قَومٍ مَحاوِيجَ ، ولْيَبدَأْ بِالْإناثِ قَبلَ الذُّكُورِ .¹

2817.Imam Ali (AS) said, from among the advice he gave to his son al-Hasan (AS), 'Your family should not be the most depraved of creation with you.' ²

2818.الإمامُ زينُ العابدينَ عليه السلام : إنَّ أرضاكُم عِندَ اللَّهِ أسبَغُكُم عَلى‏ عِيالِهِ .³

2818. Imam Zayn al-Abidin (AS) said, 'Verily the one whom Allah is most pleased with from among you is the one who is the most generous towards his dependents.' ⁴
