337. Permissibility of Spying In War

1073.الإمامُ الرِّضا عليه السلام : كانَ رسولُ اللَّهِ صلى اللَّه عليه وآله إذا بَعثَ جيشاً فاتَّهَم أميراً ، بَعثَ مَعهُ مِن ثِقاتِهِ مَن يتَجَسَّسُ لَه خَبرَهُ .¹

1073.Imam al-Rida (AS) said, 'When the Prophet (SAWA) would send an army with a commander that he did not fully trust, he used to send someone whom he trusted to report on the commander's conduct.' ²
