183 - ما يُثَبِّتُ الإيمانَ
183. That Which Consolidates Faith
561.الإمامُ الصّادقُ عليه السلام - وقد سُئلَ عمّا يُثَبِّتُ الإيمانَ في العبدِ - : الّذي يُثَبّتُهُ فيهِ الوَرَعُ ، والّذي يُخْرِجُهُ مِنهُ الطَّمَعُ .1
561. Imam al-Sadiq (AS), when asked what consolidates a servant's faith, replied, 'The thing that consolidates it in him is piety, and that which takes him out of it [i.e. faith] is greed.' 2
562.الإمامُ الصّادقُ عليه السلام : لا يَثْبُتُ لَه 3 الإيمانُ إلّا بالعَمَلِ ، والعَمَلُ مِنهُ .4
562.Imam al-Sadiq (AS) said, 'Faith is only consolidated in him through action, and action is a part of it.' 5
