A New Source for Compiling the Infallible Imam's Poetry

Jooya Jahanbakhsh

In the beginning, the author speaks of the significance of research about the poems which are ascribed to the Infallible Imams (peace be upon them) and expresses his regret for the existing shortcomings in this field. Meanwhile he regards the book Salvah al-Shi'ah of Fanjgerdi, Anvar al-'Uqul of Keydari, and the Exegesis of Maybodi as the best and only books in this field. He also criticizes those who try to refute the poems which are ascribed to the Infallible Imams (peace be upon them). On the other hand he regards some of these poems as the most reliable. Jonge Mhahdavi, a literary journal concerning the issues of the Mahdiism, is another source which he regards as a good and reliable one. In the following pages of this article, he makes a comparison between the poems of this journal and that of the books which are ascribed to Imam Ali (peace be upon him) and other Infallible Imams (peace be upon them).

Key Words: Poems, Jonge Mhahdavi, a Literary Journal, Infallible Imams (peace be upon them).
