245 - البَغْضاءُ

245. Malice

821.رسولُ اللَّهِ صلى اللَّه عليه وآله : دَبَّ إلَيكُم داءُ الاُمَمِ قَبلَكُم : البَغْضاءُ والحَسدُ .1

821.The Prophet (SAWA) said, 'You have been sneaked upon by the plague of previous nations: jealousy and malice.' 2

822.الإمامُ الصّادقُ عليه السلام : ثلاثةٌ مَكْسَبةٌ للبَغْضاءِ : النِّفاقُ ، والظُّلمُ، والعُجْبُ .3

822.Imam al-Sadiq (AS) said, 'Three things bring about malice: hypocrisy, oppression, and self-admiration.' 4

244 - الأعمالُ المَبغوضةُ إلَى اللَّهِ‏

244. Acts Despised By Allah

815.رسولُ اللَّهِ صلى اللَّه عليه وآله : ليسَ شَي‏ءٌ أبغَضَ إلَى اللَّهِ مِن بَطنٍ مَلْآنَ .1

815.The Prophet (SAWA) said, 'Nothing is more despised by Allah than a full stomach.' 2

816.رسولُ اللَّهِ صلى اللَّه عليه وآله : ما شَي‏ءٌ أبغَضُ إلَى اللَّهِ عزّوجلّ مِنَ البُخلِ وسوءِ الخُلُقِ ، وإنَّهُ لَيُفسِدُ العَمَلَ كَما يُفسِدُ الطّينُ العَسَلَ .3

816.The Prophet (SAWA) said, 'There is nothing more detested by Allah than greed and bad manners, and indeed they corrupt the deeds the way soil corrupts honey.' 4

817.الإمامُ الصّادقُ عليه السلام : إنَّ اللَّهَ يُبْغِضُ كَثْرَةَ النَّومِ وكَثْرَةَ الفراغِ .5

817.Imam al-Sadiq (AS) said, 'Allah despises excessive sleep and excessive idleness.' 6

818.الإمامُ الصّادقُ عليه السلام : ثلاثٌ فيهِنَّ المَقْتُ مِن اللَّهِ عزّ وجلّ : نَومٌ مِن غيرِ سَهَرٍ ، وضِحكٌ مِن غيرِ عجَبٍ ، وأكلٌ علَى الشِّبَعِ .7

818.Imam al-Sadiq (AS) said, 'Three things deserve the antipathy of Allah, the Exalted: [excessive] sleeping without night-vigil, laughing without a cause, and eating on a full stomach.' 8

819.الإمامُ الصّادقُ عليه السلام : إنَّ رجُلاً مِن خَثْعَمٍ جاءَ إلَى النَّبيِّ صلى اللَّه عليه وآله فقال : أيُّ الأعمالِ أبغَضُ إلَى اللَّهِ عزّ وجلّ ؟ فقالَ : الشِّركُ باللَّهِ . قالَ : ثُمّ ماذا؟ قالَ : قَطيعةُ الرَّحِمِ . قالَ: ثُمّ ماذا ؟ قالَ : الأمرُ بالمُنكَرِ والنَّهيُ عنِ المَعروفِ .9

819.Imam al-Sadiq (AS) said, 'A man from [the tribe of] Khatham came to the Prophet (SAWA), asking, 'Which deeds are the most despised by Allah, the Exalted?' The Prophet replied, 'Associating anyone with Allah.' The man asked, 'Then what?' He said, 'Cutting off one's kin.' The man asked, 'Then what?' He said, 'Enjoining evil and forbidding what is good.' 10

820.الإمامُ الرِّضا عليه السلام : إنَّ اللَّهَ يُبغِضُ القِيلَ والقالَ ، وإضاعَةَ المالِ ، وكَثْرَةَ السُّؤالِ .11

820.Imam al-Rida (AS) said, 'Allah, the Exalted, despises gossip, wasting money, and persistent begging.' 12
