“Ghadir” Int’l Media Festival Concludes in Iraq

Winners of the 9th edition of Ghadir international media festival were announced in a ceremony in the holy city of Najaf, Iraq.

 

According to alghadeer.tv, the festival was held from October 5 to 7 in the city and Iran succeeded to win top ranks in four categories.

151 TV and radio channels and news agencies of 18 Arab, Muslim and European countries competed in the international event with 433 works.

The best war journalism prize was awarded to Al-Kawthar TV, which is a Tehran-based Arabic-language television channel.

Arabic Radio of Tehran also won the news website prize. The radio channel investigates political and security affairs in Iraq and has the most number of listeners in this country.

Two Iranian animations titled “Noah’s Ship” and “The Last Prophet” were selected as the best works presented to the festival.

Some of the works from Russia, Germany, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and Algeria in the categories of documentary and clips on revolution and fighting against terrorism were also awarded in the ceremony.

The special prize of this edition of the festival was granted to Al-Masirah, a Yemeni satellite TV network, for covering the important news of war.

The three-day international festival was supervised by experts from Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Iran, etc.
