Quran and Hadith Competition for Students Held in Medina

A competition on Quran and Hadith was organized for university and school students by the Office of the Youth Affairs in the holy city of Medina.

 

 

According to Sabq.org, Abdul Aziz Al-Sinani, director of the office, said that the two-day competition was hosted by Quba Mosque.

The competition categories included memorization, recitation and Tajweed principles of the Quran and memorization of Nabawi Hadiths.

24 students competed in three different age groups from 11 to 16, 16 to 20 and 21 to 25.

Abdul Rahman Al-Zayedi and Sheikh Yahfadh Al-Shanqiti, eminent Quran experts of the city were members of the judging board of the competition.

Al-Sinani stated that the main objective of the Quranic event was to encourage the teenagers and the youth to read and memorize the Divine verses and learn Nabawi Seerah and get acquainted with religious culture.
