The 2nd edition of an international conference on Quran and Sunnah will be organized by Department of Quran and Sunnah Studies at the International Islamic University of Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur.

According to quransunnahconference.com, the Hamad Bin Khalifa University in Qatar and International Institute for Muslim Unity will cooperate in holding the conference on March 13 to 15.

“Revelation and Science in the 21st Century” is the main theme of the international program.

The conference is expected to convince the intellectuals and the intelligentsia on the highly needed role of the revelation, the Quran and Sunnah towards the Islamization of knowledge.

The anticipated outcome is the formation of an intellectual framework and methodology to understand the various branches of acquired human knowledge through the perspective of the Quran and Sunnah.

“Providing a venue for deliberation over various dimensions of the conference theme”, “developing intellectual framework and highly relevant methodology to reinterpret the Qur’an and Sunnah injunctions” and “exploring the areas in social and natural sciences that might be in need of reshaping on the basis of revelation” are among the objectives of the conference.

The sub-themes of the conference will include Islamization of all branches of Human Knowledge, the Scientific Inimitability (I’jaz) in the Qur’an and Sunnah, the Objectives (Maqasid) of the Qur’an and the Contemporary Society, Contemporary Issues in Qur’an and Sunnah Studies, and Moderation Balance (wasatiyah) in Qur'ān and Sunnah.

The participants at the program will also discuss Qur’an and Sunnah perspective on “Diversity of Races and Belief, Environment Preservation, Financial Systems and Institutions, Moderation and Balance (wasatiyah), and Women and Youth Empowerment”.

The papers submitted for the conference will be presented in English, Arabic, Malay and Indonesian   .
