Over 150 Million Copies of Quran Printed in Iran in 26 Years

Head of the Dar al-Quran Organization said some 156 million copies of the Holy Quran have been printed in the country in the past 26 years.

Speaking at the second gathering of the Dar-ul-Quran center’s Quranic experts on Friday, Mahdi Qarasheikhlu added that more than 8300 permissions for printing the Quran have been issued by the organization in this period.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Qarasheikhlu said the organization has the largest network of Quran teachers with some 105000 instructors.

He noted that the country’s Quranic activities have spread significantly with this network of skillful and devoted Quranic teachers.

The official underlined that developing Quranic education, coordinating grassroots participation in Quranic activities and supervising the printing of the Quran are among the main activities of the Dar al-Quran Organization.
