Iranian Women, Leading the Way in Quranic Research

The Quran and Etrat deputy of the culture ministry said Iranian women have presented more than 15,000 studies and dissertations in the Quranic and Etrat field, which is exceptional in the world.

Hujjat al-Islam Mohammad Reza Heshmati made the remark on Thursday while addressing the 11th congress of Women Quran Researchers. He added that there are few countries in the world in which there is so much research conducted about the Divine book. The official further said that despite all the Quranic activities carried out in the country so far, there is still much more needed to be done in order to promote the Quranic culture in society. The 11th edition of the Women Quran Researchers was held at the Milad Tower in Tehran with the participation of top women Quran activists and a number of Quranic and cultural officials. The event is annually organized by a number of Quranic, religious and cultural bodies to honor the activities and contributions of women in Quranic fields.
